Harold E. Lewis Oct. 11, 1915-Feb. 25, 1996 Funeral services for Harold E. Lewis, 80, of Newark, are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Mullenix officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Mr. Lewis, a member of Neal Avenue Methodist Church and 50-year member of Newark Lodge 97 F&AM, died Feb. 25, 1996, at his residence. He was born Oct. 11, 1915, in Newark, to the late Carl Edwin and Bessie Anne (Baird) Lewis. Mr. Lewis had worked as an electrician for several local businesses including Owens Corning Fiberglas and Kaiser Aluminum, before retiring from Communicolor in 1978. He had also worked as a stone mason in home construction. Mr. Lewis was a left-handed baseball pitcher in his youth, and a licensed pilot and barnstormer in the 1930's. He was also past president of Newark Vibrators, Penn-Ohio Ford Club. More recently he was an RC aircraft enthusiast and was devoted to his ill wife. He is survived by his wife, Martha J. (Bishop) Lewis; daughter and son-in-law, Mol-lie Lewis-Corcoran and Thomas of Medina, N.Y.; three sons "' and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sharon Lewis of Riverside, Calif., Richard and Joyce Lewis of Unidntown, Ohio, and Steven and Sondra Lewis of Roswell, Ga.; two sisters, Dorothy (Forrey) Hol-combe of Worthington and Mrs. Helen Swank of Newark; sister-in-law, Gladys Lewis of Thomport; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where Newark Lodge 97 F&AM will hold services at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Licking County 1435-B W. Main St., Newark, Ohio 43055.
