r Joy Riders Steal Another Car In City A car was stolen from Donald Smith while it was parked in back of Dagwood's Restaurant but it was recovered shortly aft' erwards on O'Bannon Avenue. Smith, who lives at 180 Wilson St., reported the incident to po lice at 2 this morning. -. Lt. Chetser White of the police deparment said there have been five reported stolen cars in the past week, and that all but one have been recovered. The one still missing belongs to Billy Justice Jr. of 955 Eisenhower Ct. and was stolen Dec. 10. It is a 1964 Chevrolet and was driven away from Valley Bowl ing Lanes. White said that the vast ma jority of car thefts are those which he termed "oy riding." After a few hours' driving, the thief usually abandons the auto near the spot where it was origi nally taken. Most of these thefts can be prevened if the driver would take a few extra seconds and lock his car, White said.
