He worked as an engineer for the Railroad for 40 years, retiring in He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen, and Engineers Local 175, the Eagles Lodge, Newark, and the Disabled Veterans of World War I.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edgar Van Winkle, Newark; two sons. Warren McClelland Oren Santa Clara, two sisters, Mrs. ner, Newark; Mrs. Frances Glass, Bladensburg: three brothers, Bryan and Herman of Newark; Harry, Gratiot, and eight grandchildren.

He was a retired farmer and painter and was a former resident of Alexandria and Johnstown. He was a member of the Hillerest Church of Christ, Utica. Surviving are his widow, Cora Clawson Blanchard, Centerburg, and a sister, Mrs. Emmaline Neff of Columbus. Services will be at 2 p.

BLANCHARD Raymond C. Blanchard, 71, died at noon Wednesday in Harrod's Nursing Home in Centerburg, where he had been a patient for four years. The deceased was a former resident of Alexandria and Johnstown, and was a retired farmer and painter. Surviving are his widow, Cora Clawson Blanchard, of Center- burg; one sister, Mrs. Emmaline Neff, Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

Hanby, 76, of 247 Rose formerly of Hebron, died at 7 a. m. Thursday in Grant Hospital. Born March 16, 1886, he was the son of Joseph C. and Laura Goodin Hanby.

His wife, Ethel, died June 6, 1954. He was a retired construction worker and was employed the Andy Burns Company, Columbus. Surviving are three sons, Joseph, Millersport; Harold Nashport; George, Columbus; daughters, Mrs. W. Westenhouser, Lancaster; Mrs.

Frank Summers, Mt. Vernon; Mrs. Lester McKnight Granville, and 24 grandchildren. A son is deceased. Services will be at 1 p.

A lifetime resident of Thornville, he was born April 6, 1872, the son of the late Noah and Mary Mechling Starkey. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Sunkle, Hebron; Mrs. Ocie Roderick of home, and thee six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.

Harris, stationed on Okinawa, heard of the been a patient since Wednesday. Born near Locke Nov. 16, 1885, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Rowland.

She lived 44 years on a farm near Croton and was a former school teacher in Licking County. She was a member of the Croton Methodist Church. Her husband, Audrey died in 1961. Surviving are two sons, Charles W. and Lesley both of Croton RFD, and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 Crouse Sons Funeral Johnstown, with the Rev. Clarence Stockwell officiating. Burial will be in Trenton Cemetery, Condit, Ohio. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday.

ELSIE D. ROSS CROTON Mrs. Elsie D. Ross, 77, died in her home near here Thursday morning. Born June 3, 1885 in Washington County, she was the daughter the late Ashton and Laura tune Ogle.

Former Utica Resident Is Found Dead Wayne Farmer, former Utica resident, was found crushed to death under his automobile in a garage belonging to the Van Ess Pipeline Contractors, in Peck, Michigan. Farmer, a Van Ess employe, had gone to the garage after working repair his car. Thursday morning workers found him. Police presumed that a jack slipped.

Sauilac County coroner ruled death by accident. A trench operator, Farmer was born Dec. 24, 1914 in Knox County to Roy Farmer, who survives, and the late Leana Miller Farmer. Surviving are his widow, Rosa Irwin Farmer, of the home; his father, Utica; three daughters, Smith, Mt. Vernon; Mrs.

Carolyn Butler, Utica, and Mrs. Ann Dickson, Oakland, Calif. Services will be 2 p. m. Sunday at Law Sons Funeral Home, Utica, with the Rev.
