Grubb died Monday afternoon in Dayton Veteran's Hospital, where he had been a patient four weeks. He was born April 19, 1912, in Licking County. He was an electrician and construction worker and member of Southgate Masonic Lodge, Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles of Logan, and American Legion, Johnstown. Surviving are his wife, Teresa E. McCabe Grubb; father and stepmother, Mr.

Mrs. Bratton died Monday morning in Florida. She was born Eva Kissick, Aug. 8, 1901, in Mt. Perry.

Surviving are her husband, Virgil Bratton three daughters, Mrs. Russell Taylor of Glenford, Mrs. Louise Robinson and Mrs. Vivian Levine of Florida; a son, Virgil Jr. of Rockingham, N.

seven sisters, Mrs. Margaret Clum of Baltimore, Mrs. Vera Davidson, Mrs. Dorothy Darkes, Mrs. Eleanor Shipley, and Mrs.

Pauline Inscho, all of Newark, Miss Vera Kissick and Mrs. Donna Corbin, both of Mt. Perry; three brothers, Wilbur Kissick of Mt. Perry, Willis Kissick of Zanesville, and Elmer Kissick of Cumberland; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Erma Baumgartner Services for Mrs. Erma Baumgartner, 93, of 144 S. Pine will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ross Henderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Vance officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Baumgartner died this morning in Newark Convalescent and Nursing Inn. She was born Erma Kaiser, April 2, 1879, in Evansville, Ind. Her husband, Anton Baumgartner, died Nov.

25, 1960. She had lived in Newark 58 years and was a member of Neal Avenue United Methodist Church and Daughters of the Union Veterans. Donna Guerin, Mrs. Brenda Miller and Miss Linda Smith are eligible for pay increases because of additional college training. The board also approved contracts for five substitute teachers at Monday night's meeting. Substitutes are Mrs. Alma Butt, Mrs.

Irene Cassell, Mrs. Gladys Hatfield, Mrs. Nancy Kriby and Mrs. Beulah Moats. Supplemental contracts were approved for Mrs.

Sharon McCarty, Alexandria Elementary, Mrs. Hazel Underwood, Hartford Elementary and Mrs. Theresa Zeyen, Homer Elementary as junior high cheerleader advisers. Mrs. Virginia Brake and Mrs.

Sharon Griffith were hired as substitute cooks and Mrs. Patricia Drury and Mrs. Bemice Siegesmund as part -time cooks. Because of an increase in size, a part time aide is being sought to work in the Alexandria Elementary School's kindergarten class. The board decided to join with Licking County school district to buy four school buses for the 1973-74 school yeart Mrs.

Lois Beeson was hired to teach evening adult sewing classes. Board member, Richard Rogge, was selected to go to the county Search for Consensus meeting in Granville, Oct. 26. The board will have a follow up meeting with the district in November. Expenses will be paid for James Congrove, Northridge High School principal, to go to the Ohio principal's fall meeting and for Samuel Bell, superintendent, to attend the national superintendent's meeting in February.

Other expenses approved were for John Baker, high school basketball coach, and David Neel, assistant coach, to attend the Ohio State University basketball clinic, and for Thomas Decker, elementary counselor, who attended the SRA reading clinic. The board will make payroll adjustments once a month. It will purchase a small electronic calculator. Members present were John Brooks, Rogge, Neil Parsons, and Edward Hankinson. Absent was William Stallins.
