LOCAL Friday, October 27, 2000 The Advocate Deaths and funerals Sharon Jane Nelson Jan. 31, 1946-Oct. 26, 2000 A funeral service for Sharon Jane Nelson, 54, of St. Louisville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta Johnston Funeral Service with the Rev.

Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Nelson, who was formerly employed by LPN Healthcare, The Eatery Restaurant and the Morrow Mackey Corp.

of Hebron, died Oct. 26, 2000, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born Jan. 31, 1946, in Newark, to James 0. Claytor Sr.

and Katherine 1 L. (King) Claytor of Johnstown. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Druids, the American Legion, and a former member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary L. and William F. Sponseller of Hebron, and Sabrina and Jeff Warner of Newark; son and daughterin-law, Terry L. and Juanita Nelson; 14 grandchildren, Natasha N. Giffin, Savannah A.

Nelson, Michael T. McDonald, Jessica A. Nelson, Sheena L. McDonald, Alisha M. McDonald, Allen M.

McDonald, Terri L. Nelson, Terry J. Nelson, Daryle A. Turner, Christina M. Turner, David G.

Turner, Earlena E. Turner, and Tiffany L. Warner; two great-grandchildren, Rachel E. Turner and Omri Turner; brother and sister-in-law, James 0. and Geri Claytor Jr.

of Apple Valley, sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn J. and Wayne Allen of Minford, Ohio; seven nieces and nephews; four greatnieces and nephews; one great-great-niece; and one great-great-nephew. Saturday at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel with the Rev. Ken Marckel officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Richardson, a member of Circle 5 at Broad Street Christian Church and Stonybrook United Methodist Church, died Oct.

25, 2000, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born May 21, 1906, in Newark, to the late Carl B. and Georgia (Williamson) McClain. She is survived by her sons, R. Jerry (Phyllis) Richardson of Gahanna, with whom she made her home; Harry R.

(Mary) Richardson of Mesa, daughter, Irene (Floyd) Cox of Newark; sisters, Lillian Steddum and Thelma Muston; grandchildren, Terri Richardson, Sherri Fullerton, Christi Sloper, Peggy Steele, Tim Cox, Rob Richardson, Todd Richardson, and Kimberly Frasher; 16 great-grandchildren; and three greatgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Richardson; son, Walter "Bud" Richardson; daughter, Marjorie Borland; and brothers, Arthur, Brady, Gail, Calvin, Russell and Silas McClain. Donald M. McCarty Oct. 26, 2000 A memorial service for' Donald M. McCarty, 75, of Lancaster, will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. No visitation or funeral service will be held as cremation has taken place.

Mr. McCarty, a retired school bus driver for Lancaster Schools and Pennington Bread, died Oct. 26, 2000, at his home. Mr. McCarty was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses of Sugar Grove Road and Olivedale Senior Citizens.

He is survived by his wife, Paula J. McCarty; daughters, Bambi (Robert) McDole, and Tonya (Donald) Julian all of Lancaster, and Paula (Scott) Allums of Bradington, grandchildren, Aaron Brown, Dustin (Karen) Brown, and Kellia Harvey; three great-granddaughters; sisters Arbella McCarty, Jean (Gerald) Priest, Betty Gall, and Kathleen Kraft; many nieces and nephews; and faithful companion, Spencer II. Sines Oct. 14, 1910-Oct. 24, 2000 A funeral service for Opal M. Sines, 90, of Alexandria, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crouse-Kauber Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hanson officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Sines, who retired from Avon after 30 years of service, died Oct. 24, 2000, at Arlington Nursing Home. She was born Oct.

14, 1910, in Johnstown, to the late Stanley and Liddie Dague Huff. is survived by her special friends, Thomas E. Whitehead Jr. of Alexandria, and Jane Oberfield of Newark; and nephew, Richard Wright of Newark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Forest Sines; brother, Paul Huff; sister, Leah Freas; and nephew, Stanley Wright.

25, 2000, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1928, in Sisterville, W. to the late Ford and Nina (Finney) Miller. Mr.

Miller was retired and had worked at Modern Welding and Motor Freight as a truck driver. He has also worked at Indian Mound Mall in maintenance. He was a member of Gideon's International and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Rae M.

(Junker) Farrell Miller; daughters and sonsin-law, Lou Ann and Scott B. Skinner of Jacksonville, and Sue Ann and Tim Magers of Gainesville, stepdaugther, Karen and Rubben Cruz of Gahanna; stepson, Michael and Linda Farrell of Newark; grandchildren, Stephanie, Lindsay, Joshua and Dylan; brother, George Miller of Newark; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Monfred M. (Bounds) Miller on June 13, 1991; brothers, Carl, Howard and Franklin Miller; and sister, Elizabeth Miller-Day. "Bob" Wynne July 19, 1919-Oct. 23, 2000 A memorial, service for James Wynne, 81, of Newark, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Criss- Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hissong officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Johnstown where observed.

military, honors will be Mr. Wynne, who retired from the U.S. Air Force and also was a self-employed truck driver, died Oct. 23, 2000, at the Chillocothe Veterans Hospital. He was born July 19, 1919, in Washington Courthouse.

Mr. Wynne served in the U.S. Air Force as a tail gunner during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Norma (Perrine) Wynne of Newark; daughter, Judy Schoonaker of Holland, Ohio; step-children, Sandra Jobes of Martinsburg, Jackie Sale, David Perrine, and Arna McKee all of Newark, Thom Perrine of Utica, and Debra Livingston; brother, Mike Wynne of Columbus; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calendar Free Kiddie Pops Concert Sunday The Land of Legend Philharmonic presents soloists Dr. Mark Morton and Dr. Robert Raker at it's Free Kiddie Pops Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Newark High School Gymnasium. Maestro William Baker has prepared an exciting program featuring Morton performing the delightful children's piece, "Road to Hamelin." Morton is principal bass of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the artistic director of the American School of Double Bass.

He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Juliard School in New York. Dr. Raker, bassoonist, will perform "The Old Bear with the Sore Head." Dr. Raker is a local physician, regional medical director for State Farm Insurance Companies, orchestral manger, and Licking County Coroner. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and prizes will be awarded for best children's costume and best orchestra costume.

The remainder of the Land of Legend Philharmonic Orchestra's season includes: the Children's Concert on Jan. 14, 2001, which will feature the winner of the Young Musician's Concert, the Adult Light Classic Concert on March 31, 2001, and as part of the Summer Evenings Campus in the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheater at the Patriotic Pops Concert on July 3, 2001.
